Brian and Jennifer met while attending grade school in Newtown, CT. Life-long residents of Connecticut, they both enjoy cooking and entertaining, spending time with their families, traveling when they can (Cape Cod and Sanibel Island are a few favorite spots), and playing with their two pups, Penny and Teddy- the assistant innkeepers.

In 2002 their mutual love of cooking led them to have a small catering business called The Spice of Life. Brian's hard work ethic paired with Jen's creativity for event planning and passion for food allowed for them to hone their skills. Their events have included intimate dinner parties, class reunions, bridal and baby showers and weddings.
In 2011, they purchased their first home on Evergreen Road. After many years of dating (13) they decided to surprise their friends and family by having them over for their Surprise Wedding. This was the ultimate culmination of their love of planning, hosting and catering. And it all happened at Evergreen.

Owning a Bed and Breakfast was always a dream of theirs. With the purchase of the John Moseley house in 2017, they were able to fulfill that dream. The name for the B&B came to them immediately; The Evergreen Inn. Brian and Jen hope you join them in experiencing the amazing history of the house, a delicious meal, the beauty of the property and
taking some time to just relax and enjoy!
Penny is a 1.5 Year old Black Labrador who was trained to being a seeing eye dog, but flunked out of her program for being too timid She now enjoys her "retirement" greeting guests and getting pets . Teddy is a 1 year old Mini Newfie who is a big (lazy) ball of love and fluff. They cant wait to meet you!
